I am a community member of over thirty years, a Drake alumni, and the son of two Redwood graduates. I coached basketball at Drake for four years and currently coach at Redwood. As a web developer, I have the requisite knowledge to make decisions on distance learning and technology in the classroom that will benefit both students and teachers.
This spring and summer, Black and Brown students in Marin County have been speaking out and advocating for changes in our high schools. As a Black alumni of the district, I know how we can make needed institutional changes to enhance student outcomes. Representation matters. All students would benefit from a more diverse school staff. We need to bring an equitable, multicultural, and inclusive curriculum into the classrooms so that our students can become global citizens. We need to create safer school environments that protect students from microaggressions, discrimination, and civil rights violations.
I am an advocate for wise budget choices and strong funding for our schools. I am committed to representing student voices and giving back to the youth. Please support my candidacy. Visit my website www.BrandonForTamDistrict.com and @Brandon4TamDistrict on Instagram!
